There was no "real" football game back then. We all owned Madden then- but secretly I played Front Page Sports football, tecmo, 4th and inches, and TV Sports Football a lot more. But it does bring up one great point- people that didn't play those games (or any of the others before it) don't know what it was like to try to get your sprite into the endzone. We complain like children because a tackle doesn't quite look right on our big screen HDTVs.

These spoof videos would be funny...if not for the fact that Madden itself is a better game on its 5 year old version (visuals aside) than it was last year and could still be again this year.

Also critics didn't make vids in the 90's. They didn't have to. They knew where the bar could be set realistically because there were several games on the market trying to get it right.

My thoughts exactly. The game was still in 2-D at this point in time. The real Madden critics make videos with a purpose and explain their point in each one of them.

I can't believe they pointed out "The ball is like a magnet to the player"......... That doesnt happen in Madden 1996. It happends in C/G madden! LOL

The WR also will never randomly accelerate for no reason to catch a ball in Madden 1996. Only happends on C/G Madden.
