there was a decent sized thread at one time on this but I believe it was closed due to the fact some people have to act like kids and talk trash on what other people have taste in

Re: Didn't see a thread: Soundtrack

Yeah, this easily has to be the best soundtrack for a sports game, possibly ever. It's great to see that they don't fall into the new music junk that is being played these days. Yeah, some of the artists have better songs, but some people fail to realize that they have to pay these artists to use their songs in the game, so artist's better songs will be more expensive. Still, a very GREAT soundtrack, especially if they keep those old school NFL Films songs as well. Always nice to hear those classic songs that you hear on every old NFL show

Several Guitar Hero songs on there (a few from the old PS2 games too)....

Activision Merge with EA confirmed? j/k, that would make heads explode.

Man, decent soundtrack but I personally think whoever they have at EA working on soundtracks does a heck of a job when finding new music as opposed to established artists and songs. Alot of EA games, MVP series, FN, Madden, has always had some songs in the game well before they became popular songs. They should stick to that process. What they have here is good though dont get me wrong.

Re: Didn't see a thread: Soundtrack

I was a bit surprised to find out this works totally different than I thought. Apparently, EA Licensing simply goes to publishers, pays some fee to get some package of music to use, and the dev. team gets a list to chose from.

This year, somehow, EA suddenly realized that their primary demograph for Madden was 25-35, not 18-35 like they thought, so they let the Madden team pick older songs.
