im not saying it wont be improved in the final version, but as of now its pretty much worthless and purely aesthetic. Because if its a predetermined animation with a predetermined outcome, they could have just gave more stopping power to the one on one predetermined tackles.

Your accusations will get you no where. Ian implemented Pro-tak in an attempt to make the lackluster madden tackling dynamics better. Is it good enough, is it polished, who knows, just stop with the childish attacks on the developers.
this

the op doesn't know what he's talking about.

Isn't pro-tak also associated with the new DL-OL interaction and how the pocket is formed?

I got the same feeling of canned/scripted. It needs to be dynamic to be worth anything at all really. first play when I saw my first chance to add on to a tackle and I bounced right off was really disappointing

I think the demo has been at least mildly encouraging, but I was hoping for more from Pro-Tak. I didn't realize it initially, but the whole grappling pile seems pretty worthless if you can't slam additional defenders into it and knock it backwards.

There are no actual physics there. If you're able to get into a scrum, then your player ratings may dictate what happens, but your momentum entering the pile is basically irrelevant.

Everything that deals with physics and momentum is irrelevant. That's my only problem with Madden. Despite adding the pro-tak and trying to eliminate things that people exploited in the past such as running back 20 yards, physics and attributes still doesn't play a role in the game. The game is based on animations.

There have been a number of tackle animations that i could not join, which resulted in my defender being dragged with me left to watch my other defenders fail to add on as the person on offense gets another 3-5 yards.

There is the possibility of it being fixed in the final version, so i dont want to condemn Madden for not having this just yet, but it is a serious question. What is the point of Pro-Tak if it only applies to a few tackles?

p.s the mid-air tackle swats are an eye-sore
what happened to their catch line "fight for every yard"
