Yeah its still in but off by default.

Weapons are purely visual aids.

No more unrealistic boosts when u reach a threshold nemore.

what i really did like about em was that when looking through a roster you could kinda estimate a players top stats by looking at em instead of having to go through all the ratings

It was a gimmick that had no business to be in there in the first place. The only visual cues I need to see are the first down and LOS markers just like a televised game.
