Re: Old School Football gamers

Did anyone ever play that football game for the colecovision that had that big controller with all the colored buttons ? I think you could only really use that controller for the football game and the rocky boxing game.

I think back on all the systems I have owned and think man we have come a LONG way.

Remember when all your games were "cartridges" ? I think back to those also and they were actually better. You could leave em any where, beat on em and still play the thing. If it didnt work all you had to do is blow into it, LOL. Like magic it would work again.

Back then games were anywhere from $15-30 brand new.

I remember the first time I brought tecmo bowl home for the nes. I walked all the way to then "WAXIE-MAXIES" to buy that game and walked back home. Games that make you feel that way about em are rare now.

OT but you reminded me of when NHL Hockey came out for the NES. I remember picking it up after work and seeing some friends on the way home. We went to my house and played for like 6 hours with 1 controller. We just kept taking turns playing a period at a time VS. the CPU

I love it !!!!! wasnt sure if this was a good thread to start, but ITs great!! makes me really be thankful for 22 guys a side and not being able to running for 1,000 yards in one game with Bo Jackson ( thats was kinda fun).. I went back to Ten yard fight but you guys took it back a bit further!! I love 10 yard fight because you were the Giants vs the Broncos in the championship game, there were no teams names but Blue and white vs the orange team....

I used to like playing NES playaction football. If I'm not mistaken, I think it was the first game to use a diaganol camera view.
