Please explain what you mean. My wife is a game developer. I think I know how it works. If her company fired the artists, they could simply reuse old art.

You can bet that if there was some competition this is exactly what would happen, but as we all know there is no competition, so there is no incentive for them to hire more staff.

Well even when they had competition, Madden still won the sales war...and if they do that with less costs, they will always win that battle.

Plus why would they not have a "Maybe next year" cycle ? They put out a game every year, are some of you hoping that one year they will make a game that will have everything you want in it, and you will never need to buy a Madden Football game again ? (p.s. ....thats never gonna happen)

1. They will and have won the sales war purely based on history and tradition, not by actually having a better product.
2. Nobody is asking for a perfect game, only to at least be as good as last gen Madden's, which it is not.
