I own both. Iv gone through the RRoD ordeal but my 360 was only out for like 2 weeks. I use my 360 more as it has the better online interface but my PS3 gets good use due to the Blu Ray. I love em both, couldnt imagine not having either of them.

Best Buy Replacement Plan FTW

Last August I bought a 20GB 360 for $300, with the $40 two year replacement plan. A few weeks ago I get RROD, I bring it, 3 minutes later I walk out with a brand new 60GB 360 just made November 27 2008.

You get unlimited replacement within 1 year, between year 1 and year 2 you get 1 replacement then it's void. But you can buy another $40 plan after it expires so you're always covered.

I shipped my XBOX360 to Microsoft for the RROD and it was back ten days later. I don't know anyone who's got it back quicker then me. I live in NC so I'm pretty far from Texas (where they all go to get fixed)

The only difference is that the 360 has a 3 year warranty while Sony only gives you 12 months.

I'm sorry but just because a few PS3s get YLOD doesn't mean that it's the huge problem Xbox 360s have..

Of course hardware is going to have a failure rate. The PS3 has a far less failure rate than the Xbox 360.

I made the switch and glad I did, a lot like the people in here are suggesting. My 3rd 360 was my last. They're made like they are manufactured by a software company..
