Why is this Game Shipping on a Friday? (14th)

That would make sense. There is some RPG franchise in Japan that is not allowed to release new games during the work week because so many people call out of work.

i'm assuming you mean Madden, and aside from the having the whole weekend to enjoy it, it's also the day after the pre-season super bowl rematch, so they're hoping it'll help their ad campaign even more.

As much as I would say no that's not the case. I have a strong feeling that's exactly why. I would if I was the head in there marketing department.

I'm glad that it's coming out on Friday. Gives people the entire weekend to get some stick in.
