Please EA fix this ACELL Clock for online play!

What is the game speed like online? Is it faster than offline or slower or the same?

wow, this is seriously making me question if I want the game. ALL I do is play ranked games online. I like acc clock, but NOT if its only 5 min quarters. I like it for 8+ min quarters..

That is a problem. I remembered playing online with some people who would sit on the ball till the play clock hit 1 before they hiked it. Now with an accel clock enabled, you honestly think you'll get the ball if you don't get it first, or don't create turnovers?

My real gripe is if I don't have an option to turn off that gimmick fight for fumble feature, I won't have much interest to play online. I can already see it. I hope there are rooms with custom settings like in previous games.

I'm still looking to get this game only because I am not big on online anyway. But that is a huge problem if there's an accel clock for 5 min quarters. That's ridiculous.

The play clock for 5 minute quarters should be 30 seconds with no accelerated anything.

Actual NFL games are 40 seconds for 15 minutes...30 for 5 makes sense.

This is TERRIBLE news for Madden and EA needs to patch to fix this IMMEDIATELY IMO. It will ruin online play if they don't.

I'm pretty sure Ian mentioned them doing something like this in a thread, a long time ago. I think the thread was called something like "Are online games too short".

I think he replied that he thinks that they may be to long. I'm not 100% on all this, but I'm pretty sure that is what I read.

This might explain why they went with no accelerated clock i the final 2 min of each half. They might not have wanted people who aren't familiar with the accelerated clock, to be pissed when they lose a game because they didn't know that the clock would run 15 seconds if they huddle up.

This is a real online game problem. I don't think I can play online if this is the case. Can someone from EA please confirm?
