I willl not buy anything from the Madden Shop and if you want to stop companies from doing this I recommend that no one buy anything and tell all your friends not to either.

The link above is an interesting article about some DLC, it may not be sports related but it seems as if alot of bigger companies are heading this route.

I'll probably get it. I believe this DLC allows you to have some sort of contact with the Madden development team as well. So it might be a good way to pass along game play changes you would like to see.

Yep, and its only going to get worse. Want extra jerseys, pay up; You want red cleats, pay up; you want all pro settings pay up; you want sliders pay up (actually fight night 4 already has this going). just the tip of the iceberg... Just say no.......

With the exception of the whole ranked all-madden one, I'm all for this. It breaks down like this for me:

If EA can get suckers to buy cheat codes for Madden - and this is exactly what they're doing - then they make more money on Madden but *I* don't have to pay any more for it. End result, they can spend some of that money on R&D to make Madden better. In the end, these pay-cheat-codes don't hurt me and they possibly benefit me in the long run.

Now the ranked-all-madden thing, that's coming dangerously close to crippling a game for the purpose of bilking more money out of users. I find that repugnant. I'll never buy a game that I need DLC to have fun with. I'm sure it'll happen, but hopefully publishers will figure out this line quickly without ruining too many games. I was very happy to hear they're not going to charge for broadcast camera. I'll probably never use it but it'd bother me if they tried to charge for it.

It depends. If they add in some kind of Fair Play settings then yes I will but, if not no.
