If me and say 10 of my friends want to play an online franchise together. Can we each pick 2 teams to control? Or are we only allowed 1 team per person?

Yes you can. you can user control all the teams or have some controlled by cpu .

I believe for an Online Franchise only 1 Gamertag/psn id per team.
