I noticed this in a game vs the CPU. I think it's stupid that the game tells you the opposition is coming out in the wildcat. It should just say 2RB, 1TE, etc.... The wildcat is supposed to surprise defences.

its pretty obvious when a team is in the wildcat. its a pretty unique looking formation.

Well, yeah, but Dave's saying that you shouldn't be able to tell it's the wildcat just based on the personnel, and he's absolutely right. When you're given that personnel information when choosing a defense, it's like being a coach and looking at the offense's huddle to see what personnel they have so you know if they're more likely to run, pass, etc. You shouldn't be able to tell a team is running the wildcat just by looking at their personnel.

Yea I tend to agree but I wish they never had gotten away from telling you exactly who was in like in 08...

Also dont some teams run it with an extra tackle? That could give it away if that is the personnel you choose to run it with.

Yeh i got burned by the wildcat a few times. Once you learn how to stop it, its weak.
