oy vey...this makes no sense...i have been pressing A to swat and strip the ball so far...no wonder it hasnt been working...why would they change this?

Really? That's good to know! thanks, I was wondering what they meant by defensive assist. I completely forgot they added it this year to help with the non-madden geeks.

I figured since they now tallied up "assists" that this is what it meant.. whoops!

Ah, that's why strip didn't work for me. I hit the wrong button. Thanks, OP!

the problem with defensive assist is that the AI is poor at covering the flats and crossing routes underneath... so to try to cover those you need to strafe and swat but it's too hard to do that with L1 and L2

Actually guys, Ive been using A to swat, and its worked fine. I remember being pissed when I looked at the configuration, only to get into a game and hitting A by accident...and it worked. And as far as I can see A still strips as well. Now I wanna get home a play with it sum more to make sure Im not trippin
