Patches are always free. They won't charge for a patch, nobody ever has or ever will charge for a patch.

Its not just passing to the flats. Its stretch plays and tosses too.
I play as the Bucs and I get good yardage with Earnest Graham with these plays... he should not be getting much from these, but I'm lucky to get 5 yards if I try go through the middle.

True it isn't just flats, it is also the pursuit directions. The defender runs as if he can only move in 12 directions (like the face of a clock). Consequently, even the best pursuit defenders never take the best/shortest path to the ball carrier.

This is ridiculous in 2009 on the Xbox 360.
