CPU Defensive Playcalling

The CPU defensive calls are starting to ruin this game for me. Rarely does the cpu bring out enough cbs to defend my receivers, and when they do...they bring an all-out blitz...in predictable fashion. Slot receivers can easily have huge days each game if I chose to, but I actually have to look away from a wide-open slot guy because I feel like I'm not earning it.

I know the A.I. in Madden hasn't been great over the years, but I don't remember it EVER being this bad play-call wise on the defensive end. Where is the adaptive A.I.? It seems like the CPU actually gets DUMBER as the game goes along.

Is anyone seeing this issue as much as I am. I really really want to like this game because it does so much so well, but this one problem is bringing it down completely.

You are not the first person to notice the poor CPU playcalling. Madden is much improved in some areas but still has big issues. I think the developers are working very hard trying their best to improve the gameplay and it is not their fault for all the problems. They inherited a flawed game engine and must work around limitations. It is extremely difficult to make a playable video football game much less fullfill the high expectations of all the fans of the game with so little time. It would be better if they released a new game like every three years to allow enough time to fix the bugs.

I have seen a few questionable calls by CPU Off AI but not bad on Defense.
