Am I missing these somewhere? I want to be able to, in nickel situations, move my starting free safety to nickel back and the second string strong safety to free safety. This is what my Bears are doing. Also, i would like to be able to customize the special teams players also.

Is formation subs somewher that i am missing or just not in the game?

Don't exist, nor does the NCAA style 1st team/second team sub exist. So far as I can tell.

it does exsist....but its limited. from the playcall screen hit RB and you can do a formation sub.

Although its limited. I tried to sub cribbs in on a wildcat play for Jamal Lewis and it would only allow me to bring in another HB

Actually it is there, you do it in game on the formation select screen. For 360 press RB, select the position you want and the player you want there.

Note that I haven't tried this for special teams, so I don't know if it works there as well.

I can't remember if ithe prompt is directly under the formation graphic or at the bottom of the screen, but it is there.

and you can't do it if you use ask madden, only when choosing play by formation.

I am rather annoyed at how limited it is. like an above poster stated...you cant put a WR in at RB...so no cribbs/harvin/banks/randle el in a wildcat formation. pretty lame. i remember a few years back when you could sub any player at any position (i believe 2003 was the last year that had it.) it was great. with stretched ratings this year, i think it could be done and those who shouldnt be in a certain position but are subbed in would really struggle.

thats why I really hate online. i know they took it out because people abused it online (moss playing corner!!!!!!!!!!) damn you people!

Ahh, I often use Ask Madden, that would explain why I don't see it.
