false advertising.

http://insideblog.easports.com/archi...teraction.aspx

I know I posted this a few days ago, but not too many people got to see it because the MODS shut it down. Please MODS, this isn't off topic, and this is in no way against the rules. This is really the only way to get this out there because that Madden 10 gripe thread will not get heard at all. Plus Ian doesn't take private messages on this forum so I can't ask him about it. Creating a thread is the only way that I can actually make my voice heard.

Anyway, to get on topic, that blog that I posted was written about Five months before Madden 10's release. The second video on the page shows two different versions of man coverage. But that doesn't have anything to do with my point. If you examine the man coverage on that video, you will notice how realistic and how smooth the DB comes out of his strafe to realistically cover the WR. However, in the actual game, there is nothing even remotely close to these animations coming out of the strafe stance. The strafe stance isn't even the same in this blog vid and in the actual game. I feel that we are getting ripped off with things like this. They put it on the blog which is promising it to be in the game. But nothing even remotely close is in the game. I see this as false advertising, which is completely unfair to us consumers. I also saw a blog posted on this website about Team specific chants which were also promised in a blog written by Ian, but Team specific chants are absent from the actual game. I want to know how you guys feel about this.

And MODS, please let this topic be. This post is completely clean and I didn't post anything that would insult/offend anyone. I am just stating my opinion and I would like to know others' opinions on this subject. Also, I feel that this is the only way to make my voice heard. And as history shows, a small crowd can make a difference. So I'm really asking for some lenience on this thread. And others on this forum, I would really like to hear your opinions on this subject. Post away.

I think that the Madden team said that the game was changing nearly every month. Some things that worked well back then may not work the same in the actual game and a lot of things probably changed in 5 months. As far as the chants go, I think they will be added in via a patch update, but I am not sure.

Are they really? And it wasn't half tackles, it was tackle assists, and those are in the game. I thought half sacks were in the game. Maybe I'm wrong

Re: false advertising.

When you play there aren't any half tackles or sacks only simming.

Re: false advertising.

Good post. It's very sad that we have to beg the mods not close legitimate posts. What has happened to OS

Re: false advertising.

Most are too afraid to "offend" the devs. They're getting paid to do what they do and they don't do it very well so I've got no problem criticizing them.

It's nice to see threads like this. Before release, if you so much as said Ian had a bad haircut you'd get banned.
