Double team blocking is in Madden 10!!

I see doubles teams like every other play.

Maybe you guys just don't notice it.

But if theres like 3 downlinemen, its gonna be a double team for sure.

If theres 4, then maybe an OLINEMEN gets confused.

But its definitey there. Especially on dive plays.

Run dives against 3 linemen, and you'll see a lot of double teams.

I see this every game I play in my offline franchise. I use Tennessee and if I get one sack with KVB(Keith Vandenbosh) I will repeatedly see him get double or triple teamed(Yes its possible).

I dont ever blitz....so I see this happen alot with him...I have 13 sacks with KVB and Kearse has 9 from KVB getting double teamed.

Yeah the run blocking isn't as bad as advertised in some cases. Double team blocks are definitely in.

I use the Vikes also and this is exactly what happens to me. I wasn't getting sacks and I use Jarred Allen, but they always had a RB or FB stay in on his side so I have to go through two people. I started bouncing over the Edwards who is freed up and I started getting sacks just like that. What was cool was as soon as I did that, they started loading up on Edwards side to stop him, so I then jump back and fourth between whichever DE is singled up. For some reason now my DTs are getting sacks too. I no longer have a sack problem.

I don't notice while I'm playing, but in replays the pass blockers that aren't engaged, look totally ridiculous. They all have the exact same animation running at the same time. If the defense only rushes 1-2 defenders, you'll sometimes see 3 O-linemen and RB dancing in place holding their hands out like they're ready to grope a stripper.

But is the Nose Tackle in an amazing 3-4 getting double/triple teamed every play? Is Albert Haynesworth getting double teamed on every down?

That is what us players are looking for. Your not going to see a 3-4 NT get single teamed very often.




I have yet to see it on pass plays, but I'll look the next time I play.

The double teams help ensure someone on the CPU team will be free to get in your backfield untouched. Wunderful!

The 3-4 pass rush would be on another level if passing plays had double team blocking.
