I love the trade logic in Madden 10 - Spoiler Warning- Trade info within

Howdy all,

As a Madden player since Sega Genesis days, I have seen some strange trades ...some exploits...Madden 03 Dave Fiore anyone?

Anyway, I did a trade on my offline franchise that I am very pleased with.

Using my beloved Bucs, I covet Denvers FB Peyton Hillis. He reminds me of a young Mike Alstott. So after some varied tries, I settle for the following:

DT C.Hovan 77 overall 31 years old
FB B.J. Askew 80 overall 29 years old to Denver for

FB P. Hillis 84 overall 23 years old
WR C. Jackson 56 overall 24 years old
4thr round draft pick.

I have a decent rookie...R. Miller DT 63 overall B potential ready to step in to help my Dline.

Granted, Jackson is not long for my team in this franchise.

I've never cared for Hovan as a Buc, and I think Hillis is a good upgrade for Askew. The 4th round pick was gravy.

I appreciate how stingy the cpu is with trades, and how you have to work at it to get a deal done. If it gets done.

Thank you EA.

Anyone else have any trades they want to brag about?

Started my franchise with the Panthers gave the Patriots a first for Ron Brace, Got my future DT, after a 6-10 season heading into the off season I gave Peppers the tag and put him on the trading block, asking for a first, and a second.

traded him to the bears and that pick wound up being the first overall pick. all in all I moved up 8 spots after trading my first round pick for Brace, got the first overall pick and the first pick in the second round, and that huge Cap hit Peppers was giving me i think it was 17 or 16 mil for a year.

I offered TWO first round picks, and a second rounder for Nnamdi Asomugha. And they said NO!

Gotta hate those cap hits lol. My franchise can absorb the hit if I traded Gaines Adams, just can't stand the idea of the hit lol.

Nice trade btw=)

It would be nice if they told us the cap penalty that would incur next year if we did a trade.

I traded away half my team. NExt year. I found out i had 120 million in cap penalties.

As the Ravens I snagged Rey Maulaga, who becomes a demon, from the Bengals for Kelly Gregg, Trevor Price, and a draft pick. I also got another defensive lineman, I think maybe Odom and a pick. I believe we traded 4ths.

But the real kicker is, after I made the trade I ended up moving Jarrett Johnson from OLB to DT and he became a 90 OVR and absolutely dominated. Looking at the numbers I gave up some, but I ended up gaining for the future and lost some mighty cap numbers

In my offline franchise, I traded Brandon Marshall to the New York Giants for Osi Umenyora, a 1st round and a 3rd round pick!

I dealt him before the season started, but I think I got the upper hand in this trade. He's a baby T.O. but that dude has some trade value in Madden 10.
