WR Run

Are there any players where the wide reciever comes accross and the quarterback hands off to him and he runs the ball to the outside?

I'm sure I've seen Philly run a play like that but can't find it anywhere in their playbook.

I've seen the Cards do it against me with Fitzgerald.

Re: WR Run

I found out the play is called a Jet Sweep and it can be found in the Cardinals and Saints playbook. And it be can found in any playbook under the Wildcat formation, that doesn't give them same effect but a Jet Sweep is under the Wildcat plays.

Don't see it in the 49ers playbook at all.

Re: WR Run

Not sure if it is the Jet Sweep or not but the Bears have a play where the WR goes in motion and then when he is at the QB the ball is hiked and handed off to the WR who is suppose to run it outside, at least that is what the play art shows. The only problem I have is whenever I try this play with Hester the defense is in the backfield I get tackled for a loss. I really do not use it anymore.

I never change playbooks and I definitely had Issac Bruce run back a 44 yard td off of the reverse, quite hilarious, its definitely in there.

Re: WR Run

It's a different type of WR run called the WR Quick that is also in the Bears playbook, I missed that so my bad as I was searching for the Jet Sweep play.
