the fact is he still got hurt and got took out of the game. fitz is next it sucks cause i totally respect that guy.

So now we are including injuries that people play through as well> There are currently, in week 1 154 players listed on the injury report. Considering that there are 53 men on a roster that makes for 1696 players which means 11% of them are hurt to some degree going in to week 1. That means after last night there are at least 156 and we are claiming that one of those is due to a curse and not just football injuries like the other 155?

I didn't believe in the curse until EA put Kevin Everet on the cover of 08 and then they put Tom Brady on 09...

Far worse injuries have happened in the NFL and to players who were never on the cover of Madden. It is coincidence pure and simple. If there were any "real curese" it would have to be that the team that loses the Superbowl either misses the playoffs or does poorly if they do make it. Heck, the 11-5 Patriots missed the playoffs last year. You can't blame Brady being hurt, they went 11-5 but the 9-7-1 Eagles and the 8-8 Chargers made it in. There is no logical reason for this, it is just the way history has played out.

As a 49ers fan that makes me a little happy. Remembering that our team is 5-4 under Singletary and went 5-2 in out last 7 games last year along with the track record of Super Bowl losers, that gives 49ers fans hope of a play off spot for the first time since 2002. But back on topic, Madden Curse is bogus.

every player have been on madden cover alway have a down year. bret farve had a great year or season before he was put on madden cover. he went 13 - 3 with the green bay before he was put on the cover of madden 09.
if troy and fitz have a terrible year or season then the cause is still alive.
