Sacks: OLB's or otherwise?

Funny how we sometimes complain about gameplay aspects that end up being fairly accurate in Madden in relation to the NFL ... below is a quote from ESPN today relating to Pitt's defense this year. Now I'm not saying the lack of sacks in Madden isn't a problem, but looks like it's a problem for the "real" Steelers as well ...

Quote:
Although Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t allowing many points, one thing that’s stood out is its two sacks in two games. That is very un-Steeler like. Linebacker James Farrior and defensive end Aaron Smith are the only Pittsburgh players with sacks so far. Sack specialists James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley have been shutout and only combined for one quarterback hit against Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.

It's just week 2. Not enough evidence to show that Madden is accurate. And even though Harrison and Woodley are shut out right now Madden is still not accurate because both have been getting a great deal of pressure which OLB's in the 3-4 do not do in this game. 1 Hit against Cutler, but good pressure against Collins.

This, it's one thing for pass-rushing 3-4 OLBs to not get many (if any) sacks in the first week or two... it's another thing when Demarcus Ware gets 3 sacks on the season in Madden (on a user team, if he's on a CPU team he gets 5-8) when he gets 10+ consistently in real life.

I agree it's still an issue in Madden, as I stated in initial post ... "Now I'm not saying the lack of sacks in Madden isn't a problem, but looks like it's a problem for the "real" Steelers as well" ... just thought it was funny to read that on ESPN after seeing all the posts complaining about a lack of sacks (many by ME)!
