Stopping the "kamikaze" CPU blitzing

I've noticed that the CPU starts blitzing me up the middle only after I've been running the ball up the middle a lot, in both NCAA and Madden. I'd say about 90% of my runs are up the middle so I think that's the CPU's way of adjusting to my play calls. I think it's a stupid adjustment, but that's just what I've seen so far.

Yeah...my backs average about 20 yards as catch as seemingly every time I call a screen they send the house.
