I've seen these for years but I can't figure out what they actually do. I'm talking about the sliders that let you pick a position, say QB and then put it towards pocket/scrambling.

I think they are designed to control the CPU's behavior if you have the CPU draft or sign players for you--the sliders prioritize the positions and tendencies that they will seek out for you. If you control everything yourself, I don't really think they have much impact.

Ok I was hoping maybe they would influence what your scouts look for in players.

They work only if you sim the games. They don't even work correctly in CPU vs CPU (spectator) mode. I've tested it game after game.

It's pretty useless if you ask me unless you absolutely love to just sim everything.
