Personally i handicap my qb to an accuracy of 5. Hot route or not it forces me to be set (at least with my q) in order to make a good throw. Usually only have time for one hot route and to decide who to keep in to block. In regards to manning he goes well beyond a hot read or two. He goes to the line with 3 entire plays, reads the d then picks the play, waits for adjustments and then calls hot reads. Damn.

It is not cheating, but it is giving yourself a large advantage over the cpu. T
he cpu does not come to the line on offense and read your defense.

I only use hot routes to keep extra blockers in pass protection, because it is too easy to come to the line and pick apart the cpu with hot routes. A lot of this stems from the fact that certain defensive schemes have very recognizable behaviors at the line of scrimmage.

i use hot routes. usually on a few plays where i wanna switch from a fade to a normal streak; or an in to an out.

ill usually switch to streaks, fades, outs drags or quick slants if i see something in the defense, but since QB vision is taken out (and i can see the whole field) its just easier to use more balanced pass plays.

I dont see those 2 house rules on SUNDAYS.
yeah, its not like the patriots, colts or saints use 4 wrs on first downs alot.

Does anyone else notice that if you come out in a pass play and then hot route into a run the D doesn't magically know where you are running with the ball? I find this is the best way to geta run game and also catch them off guard. If I didn't hot route It would make the cpu more psychic.
