Anyone use Madden making the play calls? and if so, what do you think?

I use it religiously and I really like it. I think it keeps me from using my team's money plays and forces you to try other plays you normally wouldn't touch.

When the play screen comes up in both offense and defense, are you suppose to take the first play out of the three, or is it ok to decide on any of the three plays?

There are actually 6 plays to choose from....I always choose the one that makes sense for down, distance, and time left. If there is 2:30 minutes left and it's 3rd and 5 and I'm up by 2 at my own 35, I'm going to run the ball if Ask Madden has one not pass it.

Yea I use it to make it harder for myself vs the cpu. Give it a try, it's pretty fun. Like the guy above me said, I pick the play makes the most sense.

I was wondering why no single play is highlighted when I use Ask Madden. I'm used to previous versions of Madden. I usually ask Madden when I'm on defense. Glad I found this thread.

No. On fourth down, down by 4, he recommended I punt, even though I was in FG range. I kicked the FG, and went on to win after another FG late.

And on defense, he called for a blitz, and when I listened, the CPU torched me for a long TD pass, because I left a receiver open. I should've played zone.....

Since then, I haven't used it. I think he's getting senile calling some of these bonehead plays.....
