The most absurd win I have ever gotten

The other thread about the Super Bowl loss inspired me to write about a game that took place about a week ago. Absolutely ridiculous. Sorry for making this so long but I assure you its the craziest game I've ever heard of, let alone been a part of.

Anyway, so I'm playing an online quick match. I'm the Panthers and the other guy is the Bears. I fall behind early, down 2 TD's after the half but I get the ball back, score, stop the opponent and score again.

So fast forward to the 4th quarter. I'm down by one point and I have the ball with 1:15 left and I'm on my 35 with 3 timeouts. I start off with a run, getting me 10 yards and a first down, then i go no huddle and complete a few quick passes. I get the clock down to 25 seconds with 2 timeouts remaining on the OPP 40. I'm a bit out of field goal range and with the timeouts I have remaining I figure I could run the ball with my best player, Deangelo Williams.

I call an HB blast to the left, get a HUGE hole, get past the 1st down with a bunch of space still ahead. There is only one guy to beat and I'm already on the 20 yard line at this point so I figure I have the game on lock. BUT NO! I get hit sticked, cough the ball up, and one of his CB's scoops and scores with 7 seconds left. PAT good so I'm down 8.

My controller is on the ground at this point after dropping it in disbelief. He kicks the ball off, i get it, break a couple tackles, see daylight!! but then get tripped up around the 35. Well game over, I think. O wait no its not, someone got called for holding so I'm moved back to my 25. Controller meet ground again.

Well, im sitting there with 3 seconds. My plan is to make a short pass and lateral like F'ING MAD, at least to just prolong the game. I get out of shotgun, make steve smith do a slant over the middle and get deangelo "worst fumble ever" williams to run a streak so maybe I can hit smith and lateral to williams.

The defense comes out in what looks like a max prevent. I hike the ball and have all day to throw, i dump it off quick to smith and i try to lateral to deangelo but hes like 5 yards ahead of smith at this point. So smith ends up doing a ******** fake lateral to nobody and....... the defense bit!!! there is NO ONE around 10 yards of me. I'm in complete disbelief, I look for a flag, NONE, and i just bust out to the end zone.

Still in shock after that but i realize i still needa go for two. I come out of 5 WR and run up the middle with McCown (who is better than delhomme even tho hes rated like 7 pts lower) for the 2.

I'll spare you the OT details but I win the coin toss, drive down the field, no fumble, easy field goal. Game over. A friend came over my house just as teh game ended and I showed him all the highlights. We were in awe lol.

Yeah, I had a pretty sick game the other day as well. I'll post it if I can remember.
