Is there a way to turn these off besides when you enter a franchise? I see in franchise options but can't find the option for the game in general and it makes it hard to update rosters since a guy on IR can't be traded or released. Hopefully I just missed it.

Should I assume from the lack of responses that this can't be done?

I know if you just edit the rosters from the main menu, the players on IR can be placed back on the depth chart (except for players taken off the roster). Hope that helps.

It asks you when you setup your franchise whether you want pre-existing injuries or not.
