Agreed on the animations looking better but for me I've enjoyed the slow setting and found very slow to be kinda annoying. If you can get used to it I'm sure it plays well.

i agree. i find very slow to be quite easier than the other game speeds because since its moving slower it makes it easier to make reads and see holes, etc

Agreed. It's best if you use custom sliders to help offset the change in speed. Try these out, you should average roughly 2 to 4 seconds in the pocket (unless only rushing 3 of course, or blitzing).

Heh, I just got owned 29-17 by the Colts.

Addai ran all over me. Manning really didn't do that much - just 21 passes.

Meanwhile, Flacco couldn't do jack.

I guess if it's easier, I really really suck at this game

Does the slow speed give ratings more of an impact ?

The only thing I have noticed is that there are more penalties for some reason. Typically Holding and Clipping. I don't quite understand how the slower speed could affect penalties, but I'm definitely seeing about 3 more penalties a game on the slower setting. Seems strange. It might just be coincidence, so I'm not sure how much weight you can put into it.

On the slider settings I have been working on that give some pretty darn realistic stats for teams and a challenging game as well (especially if you take the 'Madden Challenge') I haven't noticed much of a change in game play when going from Slow to Very Slow. Just better animations!

I'm guess they might because the animations play out longer so perhaps there's more time/opportunity for the ratings to come into play.

Or perhaps you see the durations of things like press coverage or engagement more precisely because there's more frames of animation, allowing for ratings to more subtlety render the timing.

Of course it's either just a guess, or wishful thinking on my part, but it might explain why the penalties seem more frequent.
