Created Players

Why is it that I cannot create a player in this year's madden? I was able to when I first got the game but today when I tried to create a few guys they all seemed to disappear after I finished. What should I do? Is there any process that I should be doing? Also, why can't I just assign them to FA like before, why do they have to be on a team?

Please somebody give me a hand. I am greatly thankful for all help.

With the most recent roster update, all the CAP slots are filled. Until EA decides to release another roster with less players, we can't create players. 2nd time this happened.
