progression question

i know this has been asked a gazillion times, but i've had a hard time finding a thread.....

i have jeff fisher (+5 on like a bunch of different things) as my head coach, and my coordinators have similar bonuses.

i just put up some gaudy numbers with my QB, my reciever, several different defenders, ect. but i saw a +2 progression with one guy, a +1 with another, and nothing with the rest. and they're all young. what exactly goes into progression? because i see players who don't put up the same numbers getting higher ratings. and i've even seen players i've released go from an 85 to a 91 by just being on another team. i don't get it.

help?

progression is based upon age and the letter grade they get.

A players progress to 90+
B to 80+
C to 70+

so it has absolutely nothing to do with production, coaching, ect? i let jamarcus russell go to the browns (he was an 85, i know.....that's some BS), and i turn around and he's a 91. how did that happen?

Doesn't he have "B" potential? How'd he get into the 90s?

Well, in the player management screen it shows the ratings with coach boosts figured in. If he was, for example, an 89 overall then if they had a head coach with a +5 for awareness and a offensive coordinator with some qb boosts then that could easily raise his overall a couple points on those screens where that is shown. This is also why you sometimes see different overalls in the player management screen and the depth chart screen. Some show with the bonuses and some without.

yea, that's what threw me. because no matter what i would do, he would never get higher than a 85. whoever the coach is that got him to 91.....i'm getting that dude, lol.
