Madden needs a momentum bar or overall fatigue bar

When Im playing I keep thinking I want every play to matter. If Im pounding with Brandon Jacobs or being efficient passing I want to see it make a difference.

The display could be a power meter at bottom of the screen
with offense on right and defense on the left

short dinks and dunks would give offense momentum while a sack or big hit ect would give defense momentum.

Momentum could temporarily increase/decrease ratings on each side of the ball

or of not a Momentum meter then a overall fatigue meter where with continuous running or moving chains you can see and feel the defense wear down. I want to see teams overall get tired or get that crazy boost they need at the end of games by making that big 3rd down or getting a big play on D when its needed.

If your playing a team and they are passing alot but going 3 and out then thier defense needs to get tired overall by being on field to much.

This would be a nice feature + adding a pump the crowd feature that actually gets the crowd loud and makes it difficult for the offense to make adjustments and audibles. Those 2 features made defense worth playing on NCAA 07 on PS2

Re: Madden needs a momentum bar or overall fatigue bar

Um... I don't like this idea at all. Power meters, fatigue meters, or any other type of meter would merely make the game look and feel more like an arcade game.

Back on Madden 99 there was a system that showed fatigue of the team you controlled on offense when the coach cam was activated. THANK GOD IT WENT AWAY.

I hope to never see anything on the Madden field of play that isn't either legitimately visible in a game, or necessary for gameplay.

Please no additional visuals unless they actually exist...

IDK, TNT713.

I kinda like this idea. If I'm pounding the ball the defense should get tired. Same for long drives and stuff like that..

i think 03 was the last time fatigue really played a factor.if u ran the ball well for much of the game by the 4th the defense was tired out.causing bad tackling and everybody moved slower 03 was a very good Madden IMO

Re: Madden needs a momentum bar or overall fatigue bar

I love it. In its current state there is really no momentum. On Sundays you see defenses getting worn down as the game wears on. Especially my Browns defense. I would love to see this simulated in Madden whether its with an on screen bar or under the hood.
