The last thing Madden needs is more arcade. I'd like to hope for the best, but all I can see is the next edition of Madden having even more "upgrades" like that, with 70+ yard receptions from Brady to Randy Moss every single play.

I'll take a wait and see attitude before I make any preliminary decisions on the new hire. Ian seems to like the hire based on Twitter.

Again, go play NHL Hitz Pro if you don't think Turmell can make a good sim game.

The scrums in front of the net are still better in Hitz Pro than they are in any other hockey game to date.

I hope this guy doesn't have too much influence on Madden.

If this guy is willing for users to have more control and to be more fluid then I'm willing to give him a chance. That's all I ever wanted in Madden is more control of the highlighted player with physics as a factor.

Here is my post from the other thread on this topic that was LOCKED

And for those who think he is incapable of making a good "sim" game, I suggest you track down a copy of NHL Hitz Pro for the Xbox.

With the right sliders, it's still one of the best hockey sims on the market.

I have to agree, I have great memories from all of those games. I think Turmell is a great addition to the team, and Madden should turn out to be a better game because of him.

Question for Mod's: Why can't related topics be MERGED instead of locking one of them????

The list of pure arcade games under his belt is a bit concerning. We'll just have to wait and see.

we'll have to wait and see, but my 1st thought was the ole shotgun bomb sounds and that bag of tricks will start showing up again...

This game still needs loads of work just on player movement. Until we get some physics and "proper" foot planting animation we're still going to be stuck in 2005
