Do you find that quick games are not as fun? Is it important to play longer games to get more realistic stats? why are realistic stats so important anyway? So many things that happen in Madden (i.e., the trades/free agent signings) are so unrealistic anyway. I wonder how long it takes you guys to play through a season of franchise with 8-10 min qtrs or something else higher than 5. LOL my little nephew said it took him about 2 and a half hours to play one 15 min game. I don't see how you could get in more than one game a day or have an attention span long enough to sustain interest in playing multiple seasons of dynasty. Anytime, I play anything over 5 min the games seem to take forever....although, if you play less than 5 minutes its like you only get to score one maybe two touchdowns and the game is over and if you get behind by more than a touchdown its almost impossible to win which makes the games terribly hard.

I play on 15 minute quarters with accellerated clock set to a 25 second run-off. Takes me about an hour to play a game.

When playing offline, this is the only way to get stats similar to the cpu simmed game stats. So I do it to compete for sim reasons.

15mins 20 sec runoff is good for me and it takes about an hour to play.

On 5 minute quarters I'd probably get 2 possessions.

How in the world did it take your nephew 2.5 hours to play one game? Did he insert his own commercials?

Jokes aside, just because some aspect aren't realistic, why not aim for more realism where you can (if that's what a player is after)? That's why the time options are there to begin with...to accommodate different playstyles, constraints, etc.
