Drafted player not signing

I drafted a QB with the first overall pick and he wouldn't sign
with me. I know guys hold out, so ifigured that's what it was. But then all of a sudden he was on the Chiefs.

How come?

Wo dude that is crazy cuz that exact thing happened to me..I drafted Taylor Mays first overall in my season and couldnt sign him and then i looked for him in free agency but he was already on the Packers with a contract a 7th overall pick would have signed.

Really weird and i have no idea why that happens

happens to me all the time. i just let cpu sign the draft picks. only way around it.

This has happened to me as well...I drafted the fake Jake Locker with my first overall pick...he was asking for $48 million and i gave up after he wouldn't sign for $60.

I don't know if it is cheating but i found him on another team and traded for him...His contract he signed with them was for around $17 million with a tiny signing bonus. In the end i saved money.

With my second round pick, I wasnt even allowed to negotiate. I couldnt even access the screen. I havent checked yet to see if he was on another team, but def not in FA pool...

Yeah I couldn't negotiate either. Like someone else said, letting the computer sign your draft picks works.

whats funny is that he won't sign with your team for lets say 60 million but after you give up on him you see that he signed a one year contract worth 300 grand for another team, lame! What i do is set it so that the cpu sings your draft picks that won't sign with you and i manually sign the picks that will, you can still manually sign your picks even if it's set to cpu.
