Break Tackle Rating

The btk rating has got to be one of the most important ratings for running backs, so its beyond me why it wasn't in Madden 10 while it was in NCAA 10.

Players like Ray Rice, Marice Jones-Drew, and Pierre Thomas are players that constantly break tackles to get extra yards. With the ratings that are in Madden now the only thing that's close to the break tackle rating is the truck rating but all the truck rating does is allow the player to run over the defender not break tackles. When I use a player like Pierre Thomas in Madden it doesn't really feel right because he's not really a good juking back or good trucking back but what he is good at is breaking tackles and getting the extra 2-5 yards to get the first down, but these things can't happen without the break tackle rating. This rating is a must have it Madden 11.

Yes they do but what I'm sayin is that a separate rating is needed because not all backs that are good at breaking tackles are good trucking backs or are really elusive.

I agree if the trucking skill rating only relates to when you hit the right stick up. Most broken tackles from power backs aren't because the HB runs through the player and knocks him over but rather that he runs through the tackle itself and continues on. Most broken tackles are kind of like the current pro tak broken tackle where the HB just keeps churning his legs. But usually it's not as exaggerated and he's not running through the tackle of like 5 defensemen. Pierre Thomas doesn't truck people in that video but he does break lots of tackles.

The Madden truck does happen in the NFL but is very rare and is made a huge deal when it happens. (Like when Peterson trucked the Steelers DB Gay.)

it uses to be just a break tackle rating before trucking and elusiveness came along and it needs to be back in along with trucking and elusiveness

I think that it should make in M11 cause NCAA10 had it, but i didn't play NCAA enough to see if it was effective at all.

It's in the game already.

They just called it "elusiveness" instead of "break tackle."
