nhl series article on OS

did anyone read this article (http://www.operationsports.com/feature.php?id=1027) on the front page?

i know its about ice hockey, but i think it has relevance to madden. it shows that on going developer support can have a positive impact on their product.

after reading peter moore's address to investers i think what's wrong with their current business model is that they are try to maximize the amount of products they can sell, not the amount of products people want to buy.

instead of selling us a game with the features we dream about, they sell us a game with "bonus content" that we dont really want buy. do they really think im desperate enough to pay for boosted ratings or afl jerseys?

i try to put myself in the developers shoes to help me cut them some slack when they hit below expectations. perhaps they need to do that for us. not just listen to what we want, but put themselves in our shoes to understand what we want and why we want it.
