LOL @ this thread. I had no idea we had so many game developers on OS.

Whatever makes the gameplay more smooth is great to hear but honestly I think the gameplay is fine, I just want a deeper franchise mode.

You have to look as locomotion as a part of the whole, independent, but a cohesive part of the package. Every player on screen uses locomotion, but not every action/animation is dictated by locomotion first. (ie blocking). It looks like they've refined the blocking again this year, so we'll have to wait and see how the total package works together...

I agree with you to an extent, but I'm talking more feel of the game than look. Rendering deals with how the players look moving, not how they actually move.

I don't have any expertise in how graphics work, I only know that the locomotion I felt isn't what I'm accustom too in Madden. It feels a lot better. I felt it had a ways to go at CD, but others there thought it was great where it was. Being that BezO and I were the ones begging for it last year, and we're the ones that were yet unsatisfied this year, I suppose that makes sense.

As for "yet unsatisfied", I don't want that to be taken the wrong way. It's a huge leap forward, and it wasn't a final. The tuning necessary to go from where it is to where I want it would take very little effort (according to Ryan Burnsides), it's a matter of them finding a 'sweet spot' and maintaining responsiveness.

I am so happy they removed the "sprint" button. This will go a long way into making ratings matter and the game flowing much more smooothly. I dont know if you play NHL Adem, but if you do could you compare Maddens new feel to that?

Thanks!

I'm actually probably going to be turning it back on. I don't necessarily trust the computer to know when to kick it into gear. It's great for those unable to lay off the button, but for those who know how to use it, I'd prefer to have it. I think of it more of a "burst" button... I use it to make that quick acceleration through the hole, rather than just being an all-the-time thing or only when running away from people.

As for vs. NHL, I always disliked having such little control between an all-out rush and moving at a brisk, controllable pace. I may be in the minority, but I like the burst button in both games.

i like it in nhl though it gets frustrating when you can get going as fast as you would like. i'll give it some time before i'll try turning back on.

adem do you think the version you played was better than last years cd?
how do u feel about the change in the kicking meter
