I doubt people who enjoy the game -- and buying it contribute to it's "state" right now.

Again, IMO, it's people accepting its current state as acceptable that IS the problem, at least for us that want a decent game of football.
Why should EA put the effort and resources into making a really good game when they KNOW people will buy it as is? They have no motivation or reason to change.
If you're happy with the game as is, good for you, happy for you.
However, the more discerning fans of NFL football don't feel the same.

I know the next gen. madden games haven't been all that up until last year. I thought madden 10 was the best year for the next gen madden. IT looks like madden 11 is going to blow madden 10 out of the waters. I don't think Ian and Phil and the rest of the guys are running us around. I truly believe they are trying they're best to make madden the best it can be. But still to many people who are still mad because madden hasn't been just right for them. Like they alway say is that you can't make everyone happy. But I believe strongly madden 11 will great this year compared to last year.
