Madden Online Team Play

Are Madden missing a trick here by not including Online Team Play (OTP) in Madden?

You look at their other two franchises (NHL 10 & FIFA 10) and OTP is one of the biggest selling points of the game. I don't see why they don't include it into Madden as it's just basically Online Superstar mode.

Would anyone really want to play OL? And if you ended up with a moron wouldn't that really mess up your game?

What about in NHL? What about in FIFA? There's morons too. And games don't mess up.

Exactly right

Would be a great addition imo, superstar mode can only take you so far. I like to play as a CB so matching up against CPU opponents can only be interesting for so long. The option to match up against different human receivers every game would be great fun.

For sure.

Bringing in our own players would be awesome too. With fully progressable ratings and trackable stats (dunno how it would work with different personel packages)

FIFA & Live can be played like pick-up games. Madden must have scripted plays. Not to forget a WR gets maybe 4 balls thrown his way a game. Who wants to burn an hour to touch the ball a max of 4 or 5 times.

Madden 11 is supposed to have OTP, but it has yet to be announced. Look for something at e3.
