How is the gameplay/AI in Madden 08 for the ps3 and 360?

Madden 08 on the 360 is the worst football game I've ever played.

08 was better than 06 or 07 for next gen. I don't know how people forget that. A lot worse.

I think 08 was the worst Madden ever made lol. I actually liked 07 on PS3 and would play that today if I still had it. Different strokes I guess.

I guess. Maybe it's a PS3 thing. I have 07 and [had] 08 on my 360. There is so much about 07 that was "fixed" or done better in 08, though 08 was so terrible still. I played 08 for the PS3 at a friend's house just before Madden 10 came out and couldn't believe how bad it was on the PS3. It was choppy and responded poorly as well. It felt like a shadow of the 360 version.

C'mon guys - you're being way too harsh on Madden '08. Reviewers loved it. Here's a little something from IGN's review (rated the game an 8.7):

That is easily one of the saddest quotes I've ever read for a sports game review. And they STILL rated it highly. Or what about TeamXBox's wisdom in rating Madden 08's gameplay a 9.8 (game overall was rated a 9):

Madden 11 is one better than Madden 10. Most blokes will play Madden 10, but where can you go from there? If you need that extra push over the cliff, play Madden 11.

The PS3 thing probably does have something to do with it. 07 on PS3 played very well. The gang tackling was better than pro-tak to me. 08 was just a buggy, arcadey, mess. That was the fastest that I ever traded a Madden in. I think I played only 2 games online after logging well over 100 on 07.
