Year One of Franchise (offline and online)

Would it at all be possible to start the 1st season of your franchise from that years offseason? Beginning with, the resigning stage, then free agency, all leading up to the draft? It would be cool to relive that years draft, so if I'm the Packers, and I don't want to draft Brian Bulaga*, I could take someone like a Jerry Hughes, Sergio Kindle, or Dez Bryant.

This is not a new concept, NHL has a simular feature. And like NHL it would only be an option. However, in order to support an entire 7 round draft, they (Donny Moore) would have to create upwards of 275+ rookies, thus eliminateing some "No name" FA's, from the database. And if push comes to shove and they can't get the rights to all the needed rookies then they could just fill out the rest of the draft with a few generic pre-created players.

I don't know why, but this would make franchise a lot more fun for me. Thoughts?






* I know this would have to be implemented in Madden 12, just using it as an example.

not possible. Next year its likely considering from my thoughts looman has been working on a completly remodeled franchise for 2 mabey 3 years. Hes probaly transfering everything from hc and adding some more stuff.

I really like that idea. Especially considering offseason is my favourite part of franchise mode.
I'm also in favor of pretty much anything that gives us as players more options. More customization = happier gamers.

From your thoughts? Where has it EVER been stated Looman has been working on the new and improved franchise since he came over from HC09. I know he was supposed to, but then he got put on MUT duty.

The offseason is my favorite part of franchise as well. Sometimes I hate that I have to play a full season between off-seasons. I hate simming so the best part of getting a first round bye is that I'm that much closer to the offseason.
