Seriously, EA? The only ones that you're going to allow to try out your game are the ones that shell out the cash to have gold membership? What about people like me that have their Xbox at a place where they can't connect without buying overpriced accessories, and therefore don't care about Gold?

I was going to try the demo before I formed an opinion, but now I can safely say that I'll be skipping 11.

I wonder if the same thing goes for the PS3's Playstation Plus BS.

I haven't signed on yet, but I have a feeling I'm going to be very disappointed when I finally do.

Oh, and Xtra. As much as I hate EA, the fault can't fall on them for this. The fault goes to Microsoft (and if Sony if they do the same thing).

EA gave the demo to both companies a while ago. They can do whatever they want with it (as long as they're not making a profit off of the demo itself). A loophole around that is to say "Well, only Gold Members or Plus Members can play the Madden Demo."

It's been that way for awhile now, Gold members get first crack on new demos. Silver members can download a week later.

PSN is going the same route with it's new pay service.

PSN is not going the same way. 2 different services bro. You don't have to pay a fee to play online with PSN.

With the new playstation plus service you do it is a lot like the xbox live service.

Well, I had my X-box for less than a year, so I was unaware of this. And lugging the behemoth to and from my bedroom, where I have it hooked up to my HDTV, is not a very fun task.

Just run an ethernet cable to your xbox. What's the big hardship here? I don't get it.
