I'm getting the Wii version instead of PS3

That's interesting...I have concluded that on the PS3/360 that when I’m playing defense and hit the "jump/catch" button and my guy doesn't jump that the controls pretty much suck. Seriously, the controls for next gen EA football have been nothing short of horrendous (unresponsive/pre canned/clunky). I haven't played the Wii version but I can't imagine it being any worse or unresponsive. Even with the funky wand remote. I might actually try the Wii version this year.

I've never had that problem, and I played Madden 10 pretty extensively on the PS3.

Say what you will about Madden 10 on the PS3, it was far from perfect, but the controls were great. Responsive and easy to get used to.

I think the Wii franchise mode looks interesting. It blends in some aspects of the PS2 versions, and introduces some new ideas.
