Player Progression In Franchise Mode.

Do players actually progress depending on how a player performs? Or is it still fixed? I haven't bought a Madden game since I think 08 because of this reason..

Re: Player Progression In Franchise Mode.

Player performance has always had an affect on progression, which has never been fixed.

But it has had a very marginal affect since the addition of potential, that's the problem. If you run for 2500 yards with a guy with C potential he'll improve by maybe 1 or 2 points where A potential guy runs for 500 and improves by 5 points.

I highly doubt this has been addressed.

Well it wouldn't be "addressed" because it isn't a problem.

Re: Player Progression In Franchise Mode.

If a running back with C potential is running for 2500 yards a season in your games then he's probably runnng behind an Offensive Line consisting of the second coming of Bruce Mathews, John Hannah, Mike Webster & Gary Zimmerman.

Or more likely your sliders are wrong.

Either way he doesn't become a significantly better player. So the potential rating is fine and doesn't need to "fixed".

Progression should also be in increments during the season (after a 4weeks or so) and right after preseason (had a good preseason and beat out a starter).

Progression was perfect last year. Let's hope they left it alone....unlike the NCAA team.

Re: Player Progression In Franchise Mode.

I don't think an issue lies in how the players ratings progress, but rather there's an issue with potential ratings that certain players have. I mean should a player who's overall is 95+ and is on the back-end of his career (Urlacher as an example) still have an A potential? The rating should change throughout the players career to eventually bring the players rating down (marginally) at the end of their career.
