Why I am not purchasing Madden NFL 2011

I disagree. I only look at the flaws of a game when they outweigh the positives. I am more than content to let some things slide if the majority of the game delivers.

It just feels that out of all the games I own, Madden tends to be the only one that absolutely positively requires at least one patch for it to function as promised.

You must not own many games then. Every game gets a least 2 patches (if the devs care) these days.

Shoot, starcraft 2 has been patched 3 times in a little over 2 weeks.
