Am I wrong or is it a glitch?

If you go to free agent signing in Franchise model, check out the 'desired contract' amounts. Most are below 1M. Antonio Pierce desired contract was like 850K, but when I went into the negotiating screen, it was the expected 3-5M area.

It's like this on every free agent. Did they list it wrong?

I noticed this too, I just dont go by those listing you need to click on the player and see what he really wants.....

I just don't like that the CPU can sign them for the low listing and we're forced to sign them to the big contracts.

One more reason I'm kinda forced to control 32 teams.

I somewhat noticed this but wasn't fully paying attention. Now that you mention it though it clearly is a bug and Sniperhare is correct with his concern.

The whole contract model in this game is jacked up. There needs to be the old interest level meter and I am getting sick and tired of going to sign a guy and just going by what the default is (ie what they're supposedly asking for) only to be rejected.

Also, I have yet to ever be able to go lower than the default amount with a player which is silly and makes there almost no point in even having the negotiating ability. This is one reason why I play with the cap off and just give everyone huge contracts since the whole financial system is broken as is.
