PS3 performance?

I've been getting Madden for the 360 every year except this year, when I got the PS3 version since my PS3 is in a more convenient place. However, I noticed there are long pauses when switching between stat screens or pausing the game (the camera will pan around the stadium but no text will show up). Also, replays look blurry when the actual game looks okay. Is there something dumb that I'm doing on my PS3? Or is M11 worse in these regards than M10 in general?
