Superstar mode comments

Well, I exported my USC Heisman winning HB from NCAA 11 and wanted to see how well I can do in Madden 11. I loaded him up on Superstar mode and he was a 76 OVR HB drafted to the NYJ (of course). Ok, so I look at his stats... 98 speed, 97 accel, 97 juke, 96 spin, 92 carry. Hm, pretty good for a 76 rating.

Long story short, I played a season, got to Pro Bowl and won. Got to the Superbowl and won. I get a message "You have won some awards". Awesome! Let's check which awards I won. Wait, no it's not there. Nope, not here. Maybe it's...no that's not it. After 10 minutes, I realize YOU CAN'T SEE WHAT AWARDS YOU WON.

You can't ask for a bigger contract. You can't see what awards you won. You can't see whether you broke any records. Am I missing the point of Superstar?

The mode has been all but abandoned. There is no point to it. It's just there.

Same thing here for me. They are focusing on too much other stuff. This gets as repetitive as you can. I played only a few games in season two. There's really no more point to it. I noticed that the clock runs after my offense gets the ball after a kickoff too.

It is a joke that it is even there. Sort of in line with the Joke that is Franchise mode.

actually it was. You got to chose your parents, sign agents, They had it to where yoo could go to the barbershop, or go get a tattoo. You had the nfl combine, the iq test, "a draft day", you actually had to work your way up the depth chart, practices actually meant something. You had a popularity meter, and you hadthe ability to call your coaches out, or declare a trade, Basically the mode started out great, but i dont think anybody will forgive ea for what they did to this mode(which is NOTHING)
