We need a defensive breakdown animation/button

You can run full speed at someone but there is no way to plant your feet, break down and get ready to tackle...If you press up you will turn around and screw up the footwork. The auto strafe doesnt click in and in manual wont stop you.

When covering punt returns there is no way to just stop/slow down in front of the returner causing you to hit him or just run by him.

Should get rid of the defensive assist button and change it to breakdown/turn around when in coverage button.

just let go of the left stick and your guy should slow to a stop

I just go neutral on the left sick, hold strafe and power through the guy. Works fine IMO.
